One of the central Jewish prayers for those who are ill or recovering from illness or accidents is the Mi Sheberach. The prayer takes its name from its first two words: “mi” and “sheberach” meaning, “the One who blessed.” It asks that the One who blessed our ancestors bring about a complete healing, whether physically or spiritually, for the person for whom the blessing is said.
We invite you to offer your name or the name of a family member or friend to our Mi Sheberach list. These names are listed in our Shabbat and Festival programs, and the names of Heska Amuna members are said aloud at services on those days.
Contact the synagogue (admin@heskaamuna.org or 865-522-0701) to let us know when the name can be removed.
*** Before adding a name, check with the person to make sure they are OK with making their name public. ***
